London: Saunders and Otley, 1840. . 8vo, early 20th century marbled boards, maroon spine FIRST EDITION, first performed at the Theatre Royal, in the Haymarket, November 1, 1841 with Helena Faucit in the lead . Stratman "Bibliography English Printed Drama" 6435.Harriet Martineau in an undated letter to Lady Walsham writes "For the chance of your not having seen the very beautiful Nina Sforza, I send it...." The tragedy was considered a neo-Elizabethan drama, a discipline very much in fashion in the first half of the 19th century.
