Spine edges slightly bumped, DJ has chipping on top and bottom of spine, shows wear, but no tearing. Story follows Uglik, an Eskimo boy of sixteen on his journey through the North Canadian ice plains pursued by painful memories of his father's fatal struggle with a polar bear. He joins two others, Old Joe & his wife Patki, continue north. When a lone polar bear stalks them, life becomes a battle for survival; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall; 240 pages .
