London: Oxford University Press, 1968. Hardcover. x+263p., publisher's note, abbrev., introductory, bibliography, index, plates and maps. A history of the various expeditions on the Niger River, beginning with Mungo Park who 'discovered' it. First edition in goldenrod cloth boards, generally sound with a lean to spine, an abraided spine label (remains legible), and a neat small presentation inscription on pastedown. Text is clean and unmarked, a good (good-only) copy.
