The book provides an informal history and tour of the Niagara Escarpment, the backbone of Ontario and one of Canada's natural wonders. The book is divided into three parts: The Rugged northern region which retains much of its primitive beauty, the middle region from Meaford to Dundas which is largely agricultural, and third in the Niagara Peninsula region, heavily populated and commercial. With over 80 photographs capture the various facets of the region.
