About This Item
New York: The Ronald Press Company, 1924. Book. Fair. Hardcover. First Edition. A well-worn, faded, and somewhat discolored copy. There is a tear or split of the front endpaper as well as some penciling marks and a previous owner name. A few more pencil scribblings on the copyright page round out the flaws. The good news: The binding is still firm and this is a good reading copy. 87 pages including an Index. Illustrated with tables. A list of other Ronald Press accounting and business titles in the Ronograph Series is at the back of the book. The author asserts that accepted principles of accounting can be advantageously applied to the processes of making newspapers, a notion at the time that newspaper owners frequently argued against because of the highly specialized nature of the business. Further, the author suggests specifically how those principles could be made effective in the various departments of a newspaper business. A scarce and perhaps collectible book in the field of accounting..
