About This Item

London: Bradbury and Evens , 1855. Very good to near fine 2 volume matched set of first edition books. This is a beautiful set of books. Apparent red morocco leather spine and corners. Marbelized pattern on the book covers and all page edges. The books are tightly bound and square. The books have a book plate inside the front cover of both books. These books are illustrated with steel and wood engravings by Richard Doyle. The books appear to be notation and defect free. This is a very collectible set of books and they will look handsome on a shelf. The book pages are very clean , but I did see some light occasional foxing. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
