Large 8vo.; publisher's dark brown cloth elaborately blocked in cream, black, and green to spine and upper cover to Maori designs, and lettered in gilt, top edges gilt; pp. ix + 241 + [i]; with a total of 75 fine coloured plates with captioned tissue-guards, and a large folding map tipped in to the rear; externally a bright, fine copy, internally remarkably clean, and near fine, with front blank endpaper affixed to front pastedown and map at the rear incorrectly folded at some stage and with a closed marginal tear, now expertly repaired with archival tissue tape to the reverse; an elusive title in the series. First edition. Inman A & C Black Colour Books 60.
