Near Fine in Very Good+ dust jacket. Hardcover. One Hundred Views Reproduced and Described From Old Prints, Etc., and Modern Photographs. Compiled From Original Sources for The New York Historical Society. Orange cloth, gilt lettering and decorations to front cover, marbled endpapers, many b&w photographs. This is a special editon of this title. It does not identify the publisher or make reference to the 1939 World's Fair. In place, it has a bound in sheet with a presentation from Geo. A. Zabriskie. He was for a time the president of the New York Historical Society and though this to be "so informative and so authoritative" that he "obtained from Mr. Stokes a number of sheets, hot off the press, to bind up for my friends." This page notes in ink that it is presented to Fred and Nettie. Both book and jacket have a "Z" in a wreath (for Zabriskie). Blue dust jacket repeats front cover design in black. ; 5-3/4" x 8-3/4"; xvi, 96 pp; Very little wear to book, unmarked within apart from the presentation described. .
