Hardcover, blue cloth with black-stamped decoration and gilt-stamped title on front cover with gilt title on spine (corners bent & worn- the lower two corners more worn, top & bottom of spine frayed, edgeworn, few stains to front cover, back panel is scuffed, pages toned but text is clean & unmarked, rear free endpaper creased, pencil price on front free endpaper, institutional name on free endpaper- "Clementsport [Nova Scotia] Methodist S. S.)"
Good condition.
Size: 7 5/8" x 5 1/4" (19.5cm x 13.5cm).
The author's real name is Sarah Chauncey Woolsey. Susan Coolidge was a pseudynom and this was her first book. She became well known for the Katy books.
