London: Collins, 1950. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. First Edition. 8vo. A near fine first edition copy. Pp. xxxi, 304, with 47 colour plates, 32 black-and-white plates and 75 figures in the text. Original dust jacket very good, not price clipped, lightly rubbed, a little marked on the rear panel, now protected in a clear archival sleeve. Green buckram cloth unmarked. Contents clean and tight, exceptional but for an ink signature along the top of the front free endpaper. A near fine bright copy in a very good dust jacket. [Collecting the New naturalists NN14A].
