About This Item
Toronto: W. J. Gage and Company Limited 1962, 2nd printing. (hardcover) 319pp. Good to very good. Numberline denotes this as the 2nd printing, 1962. 8vo. Turquoise cloth boards, printed in dark blue and lettered in mauve. Boards with shelfwear, lightly worn at head and heel of spine. Young previous owner's signature to head of ffep; faint erasure of old signature on verso. Fore-edge faintly marked. Superficial paper loss to top corner of rear-pastedown. With these few blemishes duly noted, the textblock is free of any further blemishes brought on at the hands of a young reader. Free of underlining or marginalia. Illus. Cathedral Edition. A revision of the New More streets and Roads by William S. Gray, A. Sterl Artley, and May Hill Arbuthnot. "With ecclesiastical approval, Toronto, Canada, June 16th, 1955". [In our experience, few copies of this title are truly published in 1955 as advertised, as most sellers assume that the date of ecclesiastical approval on the title page is the date of publication. True 1st / 1st uncommon.].
