About This Item

Read at the ROYAL SOCIETY, March 23, 1786. Pamphlet, 4to, approximately 295 x 220 mm, 12 x 8½ inches, pages: 2 title pages, (title page duplicated), [1]-36, pages untrimmed as published, amateurishly bound in marbled paper with cloth spine, lacking original blue wrappers, untrimmed. Spine slightly crinkled, slight rubbing to covers with slight loss of marbled paper, tip of top corner missing and rounded on title page and the following corners turned down and fragile, some edges are slightly ragged to to being untrimmed, 5 hand coloured plates of a smaller size see (attached images) pasted in at rear, not the originals, a fair copy with clean text. ESTC T186348. 2 copies listed in UK and 1 in Berlin. MORE IMAGES ATTACHED TO THIS LISTING, ALL ZOOMABLE, FURTHER IMAGES ON REQUEST. POSTAGE AT COST.
