There are a few small, very light stains to the front cover. xv & 335 pages. The top edges of the prelims & of a few rear leaves are rippled & there is light soiling to the introduction page. There is a small stain to the front edge of the half-title. Black-and-white photographic plates, including a frontispiece, & textual illustrations by the author. Very good. <p>Later printing. The attractive, rustic bookplate of Tallmadge Swift is mounted on the front pastedown.
