About This Item

This is a bound volume of the publication "THE NEW ENGLAND FARMER - A Monthly Journal Devoted to Agriculture, Horticulture, and Their Kindred Arts and Sciences" (edited) by Simon Brown. Volume IV containing all 12 issues (January to December) for the year 1852. Published by Raynolds & Nourse in Boston. The issues are "embellished and illustrated with numerous beautiful engravings." Each issue contains a nicely illustrated masthead at the front, and numerous advertisements (some of which are illustrated) at the back. There is an Index at the front of the volume.

Condition:
There are some light stains at the bottom of the front cover. The top and bottom edges of the spine are worn with pieces missing and a 1.5" cloth tear at the top-right corner. Small cloth tears along the bottom edge of the back cover. Tight binding with no loose pages. There is a 1.5" tear at the bottom edge by the spine between the 2 front blank end papers. Nice pages with only some mild foxing. Overall the book is in Very Good condition.
