Charleston, Illinois: World of Poets, 1971. First Edition. Hardcover with Dust Jacket. Fine/Very Good. W. Kuder. 8vo. Pp. v, [1], 58. With several line drawings by W. Kuder. Bound in burgundy cloth with lettering stamped on spine. In the slightly worn dust jacket on which contributor Joseph Mason Andrew Cox has written "Here it is." In addition, a Hell's Kitchen address is written on the rear dust jacket flap. Book is inscribed by Cox on the front pastedown. The inscription reads: "To Jacob Lawrence / Let contemporary art be representational and carry an edifying message ... . [ellipsis his] [signed] Joseph Mason Andrew Cox 1 October 1971". Cox is a Columbia-educated poet, novelist and playwright who taught in NYC colleges and held executive positions with publishing houses. Dust jacket is now preserved in a removable, clear archival sleeve.
