About This Item
Grove Press, 1960. First edition, first printing. The seminal anthology which gathered the two great schools : The Beat Generation and The Black Mountain School plus outliers. Starts with Charles Olson and ends with the two youngest poets David Meltzer and Ron Loewinsohn. Also the rich "statements on poetics" by various poets. Very close to fine black boards with gilt titles in good dust jacket with trifle loss to top edge of spine and toning to the dust jacket. Quite scarce in the first edition, first printing
