Paul Neff Publishers. Gustav Robert Högfeldt was a Swedish painter, illustrator and caricaturist and was particularly known for his humorous pictures and book illustrations. With a self-examination of the artist and verses by Gerhard Schmidt. The Högfeldt book was first published as 41 to 50 thousand in half linen. The new Högfeldt book was published as a second edition with full linen boards. 36 coloured and 22 black illustrations. Split at the gutter of the title page and at the rear fixed end papers. Pale toning on the page edges. 2nd edition. Condition: Fair+. Contents good. Binding: Hardcover. Full linen boards. Lacks a 5cm piece of the lower spine. Long split to the linen binding at the edge of the spine with 3 small splits near the top edge. A few abrasions to the boards. Edge-wear.
