About This Item
Berlin: Verlag M. Poppelauer, 1937. 40p., staplebound wraps, very good; inscribed by the author to professor Guido Kisch on the half-title page (see photo). Laid in is a folded offprint of another short piece, as well as two handwritten notes by a reader of the booklet. Offprint from "Jahrbuch für jüdische Geschichte und Literatur, vol. 30, 1936 (6 crossed out and 7 written over it). The author, a Jewish lawyer and writer, was still able to publish some of his research on Jewish history under the Nazi regime, such as this piece; as conditions worsened, he emigrated to Great Britain in 1939.
