About This Item

New York City, NY: New York Review Books, 2022. First Edition. Later Printing.. Softcover. Fine/No Dust Jacket, As Issued.. New York City, NY: New York Review Books, 2022. Softcover. Fine/None, As Issued. First Edition/Later Printing. 239 pages. The author's sixth novel. One of Joshua Cohen's finest achievements. The First Edition in its Later Printing. Published in a small and limited first print run as a softcover original only that sold out upon publication. Comes with a dazzling "Credits And Extra Credits" Appendix that is absolute must-reading. The First Edition is now rare. The innovative P&T Knitwear NYC independent bookstore's "Signed Copy" bright round sticker neatly pasted in front. Presents Joshua Cohen's "The Netanyahus: An Account of A Minor And Ultimately Even Negligible Episode In The History of A Very Famous Family". His post-post-post-modern novel: Intensely readable, stylish, audacious, brilliant, original. "Mixing fiction with non-fiction, the campus novel with the lecture, 'The Netanyahus' is a wildly inventive, genre-bending comedy of blending, identity, and politics that finds Joshua Cohen at the height of his powers" (Publisher's blurb). Cohen is unstoppable, adding "Credits And Extra Credits", which describes and contextualizes the Netanyahus' epic history with Israel. Plus a moving tribute-of-sorts to Harold Bloom, to whom the author lovingly dedicated his novel, the greatest literary critic of our time, cozy friend of great, actively working American novelists (including Cohen). An absolute "must-have" title for Joshua Cohen collectors. This Autographed Copy is very boldly, elaborately, and beautifully signed in black pen-marker on the title page by Joshua Cohen. It is signed directly on the page itself, not on a tipped-in page or bookplate, the latter being what ALL signed copies available online are. Joshua Cohen made a very rare, one-time-only appearance at P&T Knitwear NYC bookstore post-pandemic, during which his signature was obtained. This title is a contemporary classic. As far as we know, this is the only such title page-signed copy of the First Edition/Later Printing available online and is in especially fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright. Please note: Copies of the American and British First Editions, both softcover originals only, command many hundreds to thousands of dollars, perhaps rightly so, and even though none of them is signed on the book itself. Although this is a Later Printing, its collectible value remains sound because of Cohen's dazzling signature on the page itself. A rare signed copy thus. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2022 for "The Netanyahus". One of the most brilliant writers of our time. A fine copy. (SEE ALSO OTHER JOSHUA COHEN TITLES IN OUR CATALOG). ISBN 1681376075.
