Second novel by British mystery novelist Dick Francis, preceded by the true first UK edition in the same year. Following the mystery surrounding Robert Finn as he witnesses a fellow jockey blowing his brains out in the parade ring just before a race. In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding over paper covered boards. Externally sound with minor shelf wear, bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities. sunned to boards, back strip slightly darkened. Previous owner's gift inscription to recto and verso front free endpaper, undated. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good
Synopsis
Nerve by Dick Francis tells the tale of Robb Finn and his investigations into a series of mysterious accidents happening to jockeys. From broken legs to outright murder, Finn quickly finds himself caught up in a rather violent world of horseracing.
