Garden City, NY:Doubleday and Co., Inc. 1947. 1st edition, stated. 286pp. Hardcover with dust jacket. Green boards sunfaded and soiled along edges, with wear along edges, spine ends and edge points gently bumped. Page edges soiled. Internally, end-pages slightly age-toned with an inscribtion by and signed by the Author, to the 1st free end-page. Otherwise pages clean, the binding is tight and hinges intact. The dust jacket is still in one piece, but soiled and shelfworn, with a piece of the lower outside edge of front cover missing, and other tears to edges and folds. It is not price clipped. *Collection of short stories.
