(Originally published, 1899) Large, very heavy book, brown cloth with black embossed borders on front and spine, gilt title and facsimile signature on front very bright, near fine gilt on spine, all edges gilt, 589 pages, illustrations throughout. Insights into Russia, in particular. Light wear at spine bottom left and right edge, two light scratches on front, tissue-covered frontispiece of angel. Very Good+
