This edition was published as part of a campaign to save common lands in England and Wales. Tillmire Common,described in this poem was at publication at risk of being deregistered as common land to use as commercial arable land but appears to have been saved and is currently designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest owing to its important marshy grassland and fen plant flora.
