Amsterdam: van Holkema & Warendorf, 1930.. 1930.. Good. - Thick octavo black cloth titled in gilt with a vignette of a sinking ship in gilt on the front cover & spine. The binding is rubbed & bumped. The spine is faded with the head & tail slightly chipped. 508 pages. Illustrated with full-page maps & plates in black & white. A piece has been excised from the top corner of the title page. 1 plate is loose & has been reattached with 2 pieces of scotch tape. The endpapers are darkened & there is occasional light staining. A few bottom page corners are lightly creased. Good.
First edition.
The book includes personal narratives relating to naval and submarine operations in World War I. Also included are indexes of vessels and of persons. The text is in Dutch.
