Written by American author Russell Hoban, who is known for his wide and varied works, from science-fiction and poetry to amusing children's books, such as this one.'A Near Thing for Captain Najork' follows the excitement and adventure of Tom's day after inventing 'anti-sticky', an intriguing substance which ends up powering his two-seated frog. Tom and his aunt take the frog for a ride, much to the annoyance of Captain Najork. Charmingly illustrated throughout by Quentin Blake. In the publisher's original pictorial paper-covered boards.
