Dunner | 1703 Forrest Ave. Parsons, Kans. "Easter Peace and Blessings to you two--E. B. Armstrong" foloowed by a note "Easter MCMII | Mar. 30th | This book to be returned to | E. B. Armstrong should " she outlive me - R. J. B. Dunn";~this copy with spots of purple (ink, we believe, to disguise lighter spots); the front hinge has evidence of having been reglued; there are numberous annotations throughout the book. mostly in purple, sometimes mauve. ~~Krick observes that the contributing bishops were from all across the country, and that one of the articles was by Ellison Capers. Capers was a Confederate general who in his post-war career was elevated to the Episcopate of the Protestant Episcopal Church. (Krick 155). Good binding.
