New York and Washington: The Neale Publishing Company, 1903. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good binding. 8vo.; in the publisher's green cloth binding with titling in gilt; 122 pages; with a previous owner name on the front endpaper, dated 1969; front hinge is cracked but holding; the binding is rubbed, and has a light stain of about 1 1/2" on the upper board near the leading edge.~~Krick notes that "[a]ll of Boner's published verses are included, as arranged by the author himself" and observes that "Whispering Pines" seem to be the most well known. We learn from wiki that Mr. Boner became known as "North Carolina's First Man of Letters."~~ (Krick 44). Good binding.
