Edinburgh: W. H. Lizars, 1835. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 12mo. Pp.xv , 246 plus advertising to the rear; engraved frontispiece plate of Werner; engraved title page with a hand-coloured vignette; 36 engraved plates of which 35 are beautifully hand-coloured with tissue guards; letterpress title and half-title pages. Original cloth binding with gilt lettering to the spine, some fading, lightly creased to the base of the spine, binding firm. Contents good and tight, original green endpapers, scratch impressions to the reverse of plate 21, page 177 and 178, two library cancellation stamps and small pocket to the front pastedown, no other library marks, superb colour plates most with tissue guards present. A very good, very clean complete copy..
