Very Good. hardback. hardback, large octavo, green cloth lettered gilt to a lightly faded spine, top edge gilt, remaining edges rough-trimmed, pictorial endpapers, small splash mark to upper board, rubbed to extremities. The binding remains tight, the text is unmarked and clean, bookplate of a previous owner on front pastedown, 40 attractive tissue guarded engraved plates, b&w illustrations, xlvii + 323pp.
