Argus Printing & Publishing Company, Ltd., Cape Town, 1918. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Signed. 252 pages (complete). Inscribed and signed by Temple on the frontispage. A genial, benign copy. Stiff illustrated board covers. The cheerful covers have wear, creases, marks, rubbing all about. The spine is also much worn, cracked. The spine and boards are still fit and sure. The contents have some evidence of age, use. The early and later pages have tanning and foxing. Pp 55/56 has a small closed storage tear. Otherwise, the contents are amiable, clear and clean, only very occasionally smudged with foxing, only slightly worn at the corners and edges from use, conscientious, companionable, certain, benevolent. fk.
