About This Item
Canberra: Mulini Press, 1999. Paperback octavo, as new condition, black & white drawings, frontispiece, minor edgewear. 72 pp. A bibliography of 'The Native Companion', an important but short-lived literary periodical published in Melbourne in the early 20th century (1907 only). The editor was E. J. Brady (Irish-Australian poet) and the pages contained the works of many of the important writers of the period. Carol Mills provides a complete indexed run of this periodical with the details of the text and the authors and illustrators whose drawings are in this publication. A special feature is a list of brief biographies which list a few details of some of the less well known contributors. (No 7 in the 'Bibliographica Historica Australiae' series from Mulini Press.).
