Dozens of full-color photo illustrations of the art work, many full page; also includes an index and photo credits list. First Edition, Later Printing. About 11 x 14 1/4 inches, 312 pages in brown faux leather-covered boards with gold lettering on front cover and spine. Pictorial dustjacket features "Feather Bonnet", Assiniboin or Gros Ventre, c. 1885, on the front panel and "Hand Drum," Assiniboine or Yanktonai Sioux, 1860-70, on the back panel. Boards and text are clean, complete and unmarked; binding is tight and square. No bumping, chipping or tearing. Not remaindered. Dustjacket shows just a touch of surface and edgewear, no tears, no creasing, not price-clipped. A collectable copy.
