London: George Nicol, bookseller to His Majesty, Pall-Mall, 1790.. FIRST EDITION 1790. 4to, approximately 255 x 200 mm, 10 x 8 inches, trimmed copy, folding frontispiece plan of the of the Bounty's launch and three charts, 2 folding, pages: iv, - title page and advert leaf, [1]- 88, bound in quarter red morocco with gilt lettering and rules, marbled boards and endpapers replaced when bound. Plan of the Bounty unevenly trimmed with loss to ruled borders, 1 chart trimmed with loss of about an inch to lower part, no loss to image except border, small neat repair to blank side of large folding plate of the track of the Bounty and three tiny pinholes just above the repair, small neat repair to top blank margin of last page, signs of adhesion or paper fault affecting final 2 pages, 2 letters inked in, tiny closed tear to margin of advert leaf neatly repaired, a few pages have shallow creases, small pale brown stain to 1 page, otherwise a very good copy.
