Light short rubbed wear to some of the extremeties. Edges: light age browning and faint foxing. Fep: bookplate: No.113G Rutgers College Library 187 The Rev. I.N. Wyckoff, D.D. Albany N.Y. Title page vignette, complete with illustrations, clean & intact fldg map. Few only pages with light few only foxing smudges to margins and couple of pages with light penciled brackets. Binding is VG. 526p 225mm "John Williams (1796- 1839) was sent by the London Missionary Society to the Pacific region in 1816. He was killed by cannibals in the New Hebrides in 1839, and is often referred to as the Martyr of Erromanga'.. First American Edition. Hb. VG/None. Illus. by G. Baxter, Engravings on Wood.
