The engineers in 1858, went in advance of the Mormon Battalion to prepare a new road from the Platte to the Green River. Seville includes meetings with Indians along the route and his description of Fort Bridger and the usual disparaging remarks about the Mormons at the time." Graff 3734, Howes S300, Mintz 415, "Contains some material on the Mormon Trail and the Utah Expedition.".
