New- York: J. and J. Harper, 1827. Title continues, "together with an interesting account of the fate of his companions, five in number, one of whom suffered at the stake. To which is added, sketches of Indian character and manners, with illustrative anecdotes". Quite a clean copy throughout. Top edge gilt with a bit of rubbing. A signed binding by MacDonald. According to Streeter Sale 1366, "one of the more interesting Indian captivities. Author and three other survivors of the Indian attack were taken to Lake Erie, where an Indian trader secured their release.
