Limited to 500 copies, this is number 39. From the collection of T. R. Smith, chief editor at Liveright during the 1920s. December 1926 printing. 707 pages, index, biography of Napoleon Bonaparte. Translated by Eden and Cedar Paul. Binding solid, covers have some wear and spine discolored. Illustrated plates with tissue (tanning). Ludwig, 1881-1948, was a German writer noted for his biographies of Goethe, Wilhelm II, Lincoln, and Beethoven.
