About This Item
Tadeusz Peiper's poems, illustrated by the Polish-born French painter, Moise Kisling.
Peiper (1891-1969) was a Polish poet and art critic. He was the founder and chief figure of the Polish literary avant-garde movement, the Awangarda Krakowska, centred around the periodical "Zwrotnica" (Switch) which he founded in 1921, after his return from Madrid where he lived from 1915. This book contains poems that he wrote between 1914 and 1923. His works are considered as the most notable pieces of the constructivist Polish poetry. Illustrated with four full-page reproductions of etchings by Moise Kisling (1891-1953).
