About This Item

Rosholt, WI: Rosholt House, 1974. Paperback. 16mo. Stiff yellow glazed pictorial wrappers. 255pp. Near fine. Probable sole edition of this "fictionalized account of a true story taken from the early pages of Wisconsin history, representing a confrontation between the white man and the red man probably never duplicated anywhere else in the American West...." Tight, clean, quite handsome -- and boldly signed by Rosholt in blue ballpoint on the title page. Rosholt (1907-2005) was a prolific author of regional Wisconsin histories.
