New York: National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, [ca. 1935].. 47,[1]pp. Printed self-wrapper. Textblock starting slightly from spine staples, wrapper faintly tanned and creased, otherwise very good. First edition. At this point, the officers of the NAACP included the Springarns, Walter White, Roy Wilkins, James W. Johnson, Clarence Darrow, et al. The first portion of the report is devoted to discussing economic and work opportunities available through various Federal Recovery programs, the various cases of legal advocacy by the organization, as well as accounts and statistics of recorded lynchings during 1934. A special note reports the resignation of W.E.B. du Bois from the NAACP and the transfer of editorial control of THE CRISIS to Roy Wilkins.
