Very Good/None. 352pp; No DJ, blue cloth boards with gilt titling to front and spine, boards square, clean & bright with a few light stains to front board, endpapers browned, pages slightly age-toned, text unmarked, binding is sound, VG condition. Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist's account of his research into an enigma involving 1500 buried relics, mostly crosses, found by a California medium and her husband after receiving psychic messages about their locations. After the death of the couple, Garland was given 17 cases containing the artifacts and 22 notebooks, spurring his own search for additional relics. Illustrated with photos.
