Advance reading copy of the first book, a well received novel, from the author of the Pulitzer Prize winning "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay." Basis for a movie that starred Peter Sarsgaard, Sienna Miller and Nick Nolte. A tight near fine copy in illustrated wrappers with a small crease to the bottom front corner and some toning to the pages. Signed and nicely inscribed by Chabon on the title page to a publisher's representative: "To Steve, with gratitude for his efforts on my behalf Michael Chabon.

Synopsis

The Mysteries of Pittsburgh is a 1988 novel by American author Michael Chabon. The story is a coming-of-age tale set during the early 1980s in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was Chabon's first novel, which he began writing when he was a twenty-one-year-old undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh.
