Taped tears to spine cloth, wear to board edges, front hinge cracked, spotting, light soiling to covers, prior owner's name on title and end papers, isolated minor pencil marks on a few pages. Collection of 30 annotated African-American religious folk songs with lyrics and music, about events of the old and new testaments, life of Christ. Author Roland Wiltse Hayes (1887-1977) was an internationally noted composer and tenor and son of slaves.
