About This Item
New York: Metroploitan Books / Henry Holt, 2013. First Edition. Signed and inscribed by the author Henry Jaglom: “For Beverly - Marina said you’d like a signed copy & any friend of Marina’s is a friend of mine. All Best, Henry Jaglom”. Laid in is an autograph notecard from Beverly to Marina acknowledging Jaglom’s inscription, dated Oct. 10, 2013. Fine copy in a fine dust jacket. From the jacket flap: “There have long been rumors of a lost cache of tapes containing private conversations between Orson Welles and his friend the director Henry Jaglom, recorded over regular lunches in the years before Welles died. The tapes, gathering dust in a garage, did indeed exist, and this book reveals for the first time what they contained.” The text is divided into two parts; 1983 - the year in which most of the conversations were taped, and then 1984 and 1985, presented here in roughly chronological order.
