Olive-green cloth, gilt lettering on front cover & spine, t.e.g., rough-cut fore-edges (minor foxing to title, some shelfwear, minor rubbing), still VG- copy, w/ former ownership signature on ffep. First edition of this informative account of the author’s life managing cattle ranches in Wyoming in the late 1870s, including the Swan Land and Livestock Company near Chugwater. Although Clay was out of the country in Scotland during the Johnson County range war, he is often thought to have been involved.
