Scribner, 1890. Reprint Edition. Hardcover. Acceptable. Hardcover book, formerly of the Holliston Public Library, rebound in 1930. Binding is strong. Text block is free of markings. Exterior has light wear; library bookplate on front pastedown; card pocket was torn off of rear pastedown. A few leaves have been repaired with tape and are holding together ok. Rice paper at frontispiece is partly torn at gutter; full title page has 1" tear at foot. Several pages have unobtrusive smudges. 432 pp. with many black and white illustrations. "Dedicated to all those who have aided in the suppression of slavery on the east coast of Africa." Heavy books or multi-volume sets will require additional postage.
