London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1964. 190pp. Book clean. Spine firm, mildly canted, gilt title there-on. Plain green boards lightly corner-bumped. Random foxing spots to textblock edges, else leaves clean. Previous bookseller's sticker to front pastedown. Art-illustrated (Philip Gough) dustjacket is price-clipped on lower front flap, tanned on spine, and has some foxing and marking to front and rear panels, two short creases, minor edge-creasing and a couple of edge nicks. From the jacket flap: "A holiday in Portugal is planned by Christine Channing's family, to take her mind off a troubled love affair. They are charmed by the country, where they soon make friends, among them the Baronessa Narvao, who invites them to stay in her luxurious mansion.
