No dustwrapper, wear to spine ends, corners and edges of brown cloth-covered boards, covers are bowed (bent but not broken) and have old damp-marking on, original owner's name on f/ep, but internally a clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. The Danish author's account of his life and travels from the mid 1930s to the mid 1940s, particularly with his time living in China where he met his Chinese wife before the War. He was quite a well-known travel writer in his day. 238pp, some b&w drawings. . . First UK Edition. Hard Cover. Fair/No Jacket. Illus. by Bendix, Hans. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
