About This Item
A movie tie-in edition for the silent film adaptation starring Mary Pickford of Kathleen Norris' My Best Girl. The novel tells the story of the son of a wealthy department store owner who disguises himself to work as a stockroom boy in one of his father's stores. There he meets and falls in love with one of the stockroom girls, disrupting his father's plans for his marriage to a wealth heiress.
This copy is in fair condition, with a cracked front hinge and significant lean. There is also significant staining to the cloth covering the boards. However, the contents of the text are entirely clean and legible, and all of the images from the film appear to be present. The dust jacket is present but is in poor condition and is at present held together with a plastic wrapper.
