The first edition, first impression.In the original unclipped dust wrapper.Spike Milligan's fourth volume of his war memoir, this volume spanning four months in his life, from the landing in Salerno on the 23rd September 1943, to his being invalided.Illustrated with in-text photographs. Milligan published a total of seven war memoirs, of which this is the fourth volume. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart, with a few light marks. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Rear paste down is spotted. Dust wrapper is lightly edge worn with a few minor marks. Spine is a little sunned. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine
